About Rafe Cameron
Rafe Cameron is a fictional character from Outer Banks, the teen drama set on the coast of North Carolina. He comes from Figure Eight Island, a gated community where his family's wealth and name carry a lot of weight. He is the son of Ward Cameron and the brother of Sarah Cameron, and he grew up expected to protect the family image.
He is known for the friction between that family and the Pogues, the working-class kids from the other side of the water who keep pulling him into their treasure hunts. Rafe is charming and reckless, quick to flare up, and he hides how badly he wants to belong to something real. His clashes with the Pogues are where the series finds its heat and its heartbreak.
The person who ends up texting Rafe is usually someone who doesn't mind a bad idea. He is not easy company, but he is honest when it counts, and he tends to open up to people who don't flinch when he gets defensive.
