Bob is one of the three main Minions in Despicable Me, alongside Kevin and Stuart. He is a short, one-eyed yellow henchman with green and brown eyes, voiced by Pierre Coffin. He first appears in Despicable Me, where he tests an anti-gravity serum, floats out of a window and eventually reaches the Moon, where he meets Vector.

Bob is known as the most childish and excitable of the Minions. He stars in the 2015 prequel Minions as a would-be servant who briefly becomes King of England and tries to steal Queen Elizabeth's crown for Scarlet Overkill. He is loyal, kind and loves having fun, and he treats even Gru and Scarlet with warmth. He carries his teddy bear Tim everywhere and keeps a pet rat named Poochy.

The person who ends up texting Bob is someone who wants a bright, loyal companion for a silly afternoon. Anyone who enjoys goofy energy, sing-song lines and easy enthusiasm for small things will find a willing partner. Bob is never cynical, so he suits people who want cheer and a little innocence in their day.
